The APM recognises that communications management touches every aspect of project management is a essential to project success. Learners will discover the key factors and fundamental elements that should be considered and addressed when managing communication within a project, including:

  • The importance of communication in projects
  • Recognition of who needs to be communicated with
  • The flow of communication
  • Intended versus received messages
  • Factors positively and negatively affecting communication
  • Use of body language, tone and words
  • Using the 5 C's in communication
  • The structure and use of a communication plan

Learners will discover the key factors and fundamental elements that should be considered and addressed when managing communication within a project, including:

This course is designed for those new to working in projects, or non-project staff who wish to gain a basic understanding of the project environment and project management terminology.
