Description

Aimed at the structural CAD Technician this two day training course delivers the knowledge necessary to produce robust and rigorous detailing and scheduling of structural concrete for building structures.

Alongside informative tutorials, delegates will produce robust details and schedules for structural elements such as columns, beams and slabs.





 

Formats

Classroom

Training courses on set dates, in ICE Training venues across the country. Suitable for those looking to attend a training course and share knowledge and practical experiences with like-minded others in an interactive learning environment.

In-house

Bespoke training programmes. These are delivered by our tutors at a time, in a location and based on a curriculum completely tailored to your needs. Ideal for organisations that have several employees wishing to take training in the same subject area, and/or have organisation-specific ideas for learning and development.

Programme overview

Sessions begin at 9:00 and finish at 17:00. Morning and afternoon coffee breaks and lunch are included in the programme.

Tutors

Mr Robin Whittle  
MA (Cantab) CEng MICE

Robin has been deeply involved with the development of the UK and European Codes for the use of structural concrete and has developed particular expertise in the design, analysis and behaviour of reinforced and prestressed concrete and his work on reinforced concrete detailing is referred to throughout the industry. He has authored numerous publications on design and detailing of concrete structures.

Mr Richard Coveney
BSc

Richard is a practical reinforced concrete detailer with more than 25 years’ experience at all levels. He also takes an active role in new construction techniques and the implementation of European design codes into practice.
