Description

An intensive one day training course that focusses on the structure, operation and interaction of Eurocode 7 within the Eurocode suite.

The programme provides a thorough introduction to Eurocode 7, focussing on the key elements of the new geotechnical design code. An overview of the Eurocode suite is also given, clarifying geotechnical design in the context of Eurocode led design approaches.

The training course is highly interactive with numerous worked examples and tutorials based on practical design problems. Delegate participation is actively encouraged throughout.

In-house

Bespoke training programmes. These are delivered by our tutors at a time, in a location and based on a curriculum completely tailored to your needs. Ebenezer has extensive experience in the geotechnical industry with a number of consultant and contractor organisations. He has an excellent blend of theoretical understanding of ground behaviour and practical experience of geotechnical and environmental projects. He is currently an independent consultant, providing design advice on ground investigation, shallow and piled foundations, design and analysis of retaining structures, ground treatment methods, earthworks and all aspects of geotechnical design relating to civil, infrastructure and building projects. He has a clear understanding of the impact of the Eurocode design codes on UK design and construction practice.

David Beadman
MA (Cantab) CEng FICE MIStructE

David is an experienced design manager, responsible for the design of the temporary retaining walls on the Jubilee Line Extension project. He was the design manage during the tender and negotiation period for the successful joint venture of six European contractors, which won the design and build contract for the Copenhagen metro.
