This one day training course has been developed for professionals beginning work in the industry, who need to appreciate their legal responsibilities to employers, the workforce and the general public with regard to health and safety in construction.

The programme considers the whole construction lifecycle in relation to current health and safety legislation.

This training course offers a comprehensive introduction to best practice in health and safety that you will be able to apply across your projects.

Programme overview

Sessions begin at 9:00 and finish at 17:00. Morning and afternoon coffee breaks and lunch are included in the programme.

Session 1 Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
Session 2 Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 explained
Session 3 Personal protective equipment
Session 4 Construction (Health, Safety, Welfare) Regulations 1996
Session 5 Introduction to scaffolds and working places
Session 6 Introduction to lifting equipment
Session 7 Introduction to temporary works and earthworks safety

The tutors are experienced health and safety professionals with significant relevant experience of the application and interpretation of legislation in practice.
